The School District has a wonderful opportunity to partner with OSU extension to promote healthy eating. Nicole Wells from OSU visited Myrtle Crest and Maple Middle School this week for a taste testing experience. Students sampled "Not your Everyday Apples" in the cafeteria during lunch.
Mrs. Wells and OSU Nutrition's main focus is to get kids eating more fruits and veggies by showing them new and exciting recipes.
Mrs. Wells will be visiting both schools once a month. The kids were all extremely excited, eager to try and excited to share with their families. Students were provided a copy of the recipe to take home.
