Myrtle Crest ended the 21/22 school year with a fun filled day of bouncy castles, obstacle courses, and lunch outside!
The Kitchen Staff started off the day with a "Schools Out" parade, which was much loved by the students! If students and staff didn't know it was the last day of school, they did for sure after the lunch ladies passed their classroom!
All students also enjoyed having their lunch outside in the fresh air. It was a beautiful day!
During recess and PE time, students enjoyed the fresh air as well as an inflatable obstacle course and super slide!
All Myrtle Crest students received a generous donation of play and exercise equipment from Pacific Power, to promote staying active during the summer! Thank you to Sam Carter of Pacific Power and Lorri Glenn, our Myrtle Crest PE Teacher, for promoting an active summer for our students.
At the end of the day, Myrtle Crest staff continued the end of the year tradition of lining up outside to wave goodbye to our students as they leave on their last bus ride of the 21/22 school year!
After school, our Myrtle Crest staff enjoyed an Ice Cream Social, and several staff members were recognized for their outstanding service to our school district.
Irene Logan (Left), celebrated her final year as a teacher as she heads to retirement. She has been with district for 15 years! Patty Butherus (Right) was recognized as Myrtle Crest's Teacher of the Year. We will miss Patty as she leaves us for her new teaching position in Kansas! Megan Chamberlain (Center) received her pin for 5 years at Myrtle Crest. We would also like to congratulate her (and Lahia Ellingson) for a fantastic Kindergarten Graduation! It was so great to see the kindergarten students and their families celebrate their first year with Myrtle Point School District!
We would like to thank all of our wonderful students and their families for a great 21/22 school year! We hope you have a great summer, Go Bobcats!
