Staff Spotlight: Michael Hogan
What brought you to this job? I originally went to school for teaching (many moons ago) because I have a passion for learning and a knack for explaining things in ways that people will understand. I have recently had the opportunity to return to my passion and here I am :)
What are you looking forward to this school year? I am looking forward to inspiring students to go beyond themselves in learning and in the community.
What is something you enjoy - that makes your life rewarding? I enjoy it when people tell me that there is something that they did not previously understand but, now that I have explained it in a different way, they see it more clearly.
How do you spend your time outside of work?I enjoy reading and gaming. I also love hiking, fishing, and camping. I am a member of Rotary and I love supporting our community.
Share some facts about yourself:I am a father of five, although 2 live out of state. I love to grill for friends and family. I have worked in a variety of positions throughout my life from fast food, door-to-door sales, real estate and call center management to selling advertising for the newspaper, running a loan office, and being a bank branch manager. I love watermelon and cottage cheese (although not together) and have always been commended for my positive attitude.
